SATURDAY 1:00 & 4:00 Bavarian Garten

Skandia Leikarringen is a Scandinavian Folk Dance group, located in Junction City, Oregon. They primarily dance at the Junction City Scandinavian Festival each August. They have also performed at ScanFair in Portland, the Astoria Midsummer Festival and the Lane County Fair. Currentlly they have 10 to 12 couples in the group. Their dances are from the countries of Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. They also do German Folk dancing. They perform their lively dances in their colorful regional costumes.

The Happy Five (Polka Band) was formed in the early summer of 2011. Their lively music is modeled after 'The Hungry Five', of Germany. The quintet consists of 2 clarinets, 1 coronet, 1 trombone and 1 tuba. All the musicians are members in the Bare Area Concert Band and former members of the Oregon Coast Chamber Orchestra.

Sam's Polka Gems - Sam Pecorilla is a man whose musical experience goes beyond what most musicians can do in two lifetimes. Since 1947 he's been playing festivals and lodges and dance clubs. He started accordion lessons at age 8, learning Scandinavian music an classical style. By age 15, he was working as a professional performer in Montana with a country-and-western band. Playing under the name, "Sam's Variety Gems " Sam recently cut a CD that has 17 "best of" polkas and waltzes - including 'Checkersville Polka,' 'Hot Tamale,' 'Somewhere My Love Waltz,' 'Mozart's Polka' and 13 more. It is just a sampling of his versatile musical ability.

Meg Graf She says played music all her life, and her motto is: "Music makes the world a better place, and live music is best!" Meg plays with the Junction City Polka Band, with Attaboy! Polka Band and various other ensembles. Meg resides in the Willamette Valley and works at the University of Oregon.

John R Klobas is an accordion player, who has entertained people all over the United States and Europe. John and his wife, Nancy, who plays the hammered dulcimer, live on a farm near Fall Creek. John played at the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest for 15 years. John also taught at Lane Community College from 1965 to 1999, some of his classses were held in the LightKeepers house at the Heceta Light House. He also hosts the International Polka Party, heard on KSCT - 106.9 FM. His show can be heard every Sunday from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM. He has been doing this for over a quarter of a century.
